[NA] Vatic release Rafiki, transfers Duckie from ELV

After a rough start for both VATIC and ELEVATE in the February Monthly Finals, roster movements started to run across the entire North American region, leading to many teams replacing their players in hopes for better results heading into the March Monthly Finals.

A Failed Start

Duckie originally played alongside fellow American players Belal and Rafikii during the 2025 season in their debut as rookies, being a core member of F/A Mountain Men. They eventually got signed by SKCalalas NA for the February Monthly Finals, where they lost in the first round against Tribe Gaming. Things then completely fell apart as it was discovered that Duckie lied about his age to be able to play in the Monthly Final, informing both the admins and his teammates that he had reached 16 years old, the minimum age to play official Brawl Stars Championship matches.

All the Way Up

After that incident, the team went F/A again and did not play again until the April Monthly Finals, with Sam stepping up to take Duckie’s place. The team did not find success in the first split, so they started to plan some changes going forward into the second half of the year. They eventually added recently dropped player Ezlivi to complete the team, and he seemed to be the key piece that they were missing. They went on to qualify for the three remaining Monthly Finals under the colors of Team Elektros, reaching the semifinals in two of them.

Then, due to ELEVATE’s disqualification from World Finals, they qualified to the Last Chance Qualifier to have a final shot to try to go to the biggest stage of the year. Unfortunately, things were not able to go their way, as Belal was unable to attend the event due to visa issues and was substituted by Diegogamer, who played with the team during the three days of the event and even getting into one of the Golden Ticket Matches, but eventually falling short against Reply Totem.

New Beginnings

After achieving good results last year, this roster was signed by VATIC, a new organization looking to stand out in Brawl Stars. They qualified for the first Monthly Final of the year with little to no problem, but they couldn’t keep up the pace with the unstoppable rookie force of Team Elektro’s new roster, ultimately losing in the quarterfinals.

A similar story happened to ELEVATE. Duckie joined OG and Vegeta, this time with the eligible age to compete, hoping to get great results this year. However, due to ELEVATE losing all of last year's points because of the disqualification, they ended up getting matched against Tribe Gaming in the first round, resulting in an early exit from the tournament.

All this combined pushed VATIC to make some changes, eventually deciding to replace Rafikii with Duckie, who already played for the team during the Preseason Icebreaker just a few weeks before the Monthly Qualifier. Duckie will rejoin belal, his former teammate, under a different North American organization. This situation leaves Rafikii looking for a new team and ELEVATE looking for a third player to complete their roster, as the series of announcements implies that a trade has not taken place between the organizations.
