RUMORS: NOVO duo to join iKaoss led Heretics

Marco and Subeme join a Spanish Dynasty.

New reports indicate that Team Heretics (TH) have locked down their roster for 2026, adding Marco and Subeme of NOVO Esports to reinforce iKaoss, with Lotus and Peri leading the charge in the staff department.

iKaoss Will Return

Ruben "iKaoss" Expósito will return for Heretics–we know this as a fact. BSEN has received information from internal sources that Spain's star player is on a two year contract with the organization and has already been confirmed to return representing Heretics in the following year. Since TH's introduction to BSC at the beginning of the 2025 season, iKaoss has remained one of the most consistent players in an otherwise tumultuous roster.

A New Italian Duo

Everyone knows Maru and Maury, but it may be time for new talent to take the crown. After a breakthrough year on NOVO Esports together, "Marco" and "Subeme" will join Team Heretics for the 2025 season. NOVO faced challenges throughout the season, but still found their way to the 2025 World Final, being the only rookie roster to do so. They showed respectable performances in Group A against SSG, but failed to defeat regional frontrunner SK Gaming and ultimately fell at the hands of RNTX in a 5 set banger. 

Prior to the 2026 season, Marco was in consideration to join Team Heretics during the break between the spring and summer splits. With Drage and Rol benched from the team, vacancies were left to fill, and Marco was a top choice to fill the open player position, playing Brawl Ball League with the team on trial. However, he ultimately decided to stay with his long-time teammates Biso and Subeme, as explained by Marco himself on X. Heretics eventually picked up Zhar and Sebas for the remainder of the 2025 season but exited the World Finals in joint last place.

Marco will now have a second opportunity to join this legendary organization still alongside Subeme.

Outdraft & Outanalyze

In addition to new players, Heretics have called reinforcements to prepare the team to compete at the highest level. Sources suggest that "Lotus" will join Heretics as their head coach from America, while Eric "Peri" Apesteguia is expected to join as an analyst from Spain, the organization’s home country. 

Lotus is one of the hottest prospects in the coaching scene, having worked with several North American teams in 2025, including both iterations of ELEVATE, as well as Pirates in 2024. Peri will join the roster fresh off a top 4 finish at the 2025 World Finals with Revenant XSpark, positioning TH to be a deadly team heading into the new season.
