[NEWS] BS Challengers 101: Everything You Need To Know

On March 26th, Brawl Stars Esports announced the newest way to compete in the BSC: Brawl Stars Challengers. Built around local ecosystem and third party tournament organizers, BS Challengers will bring together 12 sub-regions from around the world to the live in-person finals in Istanbul, Türkiye. The winner of each challengers circuit will attend to represent their region, with the victor of the circuit earning their spot at the 2026 Last Chance Qualifier alongside teams from NA, SA, EMEA, EA, and CN.
Each challengers circuit will require at least 2 of the three members of any given team to be from the country/region of origin (IE to play Challengers Italy, 2/3 of your team needs to reside in Italy.)

Challengers Italy

Challengers Italy kicks off on April 10th with Qualifier #1, which will boast an impressive $10,000 USD prizepool across two days of competition. Day 1 will be an online qualifier, while Day 2 will see the top four teams travel to Comicon Napoli on May 2nd for the LAN conclusion of the qualifier. Qualifiers 2 and 3 will have a $2,500 USD prizepool and be fully online.
Four teams will qualify to the Challengers IT Finals at Comicon Bergamo: two teams from Qualifier #1, and one team each from Qualifiers #2 and #3. The LAN event will boast a $10,000 USD prizepool and qualify the best team in Italy to the Challengers Finals.

Challengers DACH

Challengers DACH is open to players from Germany, Austria and Switzerland and will operate with a points system across four open qualifiers. the 16 teams who earn the most points across the Open Qualifiers will qualify to the Challengers DACH Finals at Dokomi in Düsseldorf, competing for a spot in Istanbul and their share of a $25,000 USD prizepool. OQs for Challengers DACH do not have prizepool associated and only the top 16 teams will qualify.

Challengers Spain

Brawl Stars returns to OWN Valencia in 2026 with Challengers Spain. 4 teams will qualify throughout the circuit of offline and online qualifiers to the in-person finals in Valencia, sending one team to Istanbul and earning their share of the $25,000 USD Prizepool.
Two teams will qualify from each open qualifier to the group stage for a total of 6. The top 3 teams from the Group Stage will qualify to the LAN finals, and one additional team will qualify from the single elimination offline qualifier on the first day of Valencia.

Challengers France

BIGG SERIES enters as a tournament organizer for Brawl Stars Challengers operating in their home region, France. With $25,000 USD on the line, teams will battle through 4 open qualifiers to the finals! Eligible players must meet the regional requirement of 2/3 team members being from France OR Belgium.

Challengers South America West

South America West returns to the BSC with a new competition: Challengers SA West (Also known as Challengers SA, as the other regional competition is Challengers Brazil/BR). 16 teams will qualify from two open qualifiers to the Main Event. Four groups will send eight teams into the single elimination finals and determine the winners of the lion's share of $25,000 USD and the spot to Istanbul.

Challengers Brazil

Brazil will host its own Challengers competition in 2026 in a similar format to South America West. 16 teams will qualify from the two Open Qualifiers to the Group Stage, where eight teams will qualify to the single elimination Playoff bracket for their share of $25,000 USD and a spot to the Challengers Finals in Istanbul.

Challengers Japan

Challengers Japan is going big with six offline qualifiers held across Japan to qualify teams to the JP Finals, earning teams their spot in Istanbul and their share of $25,000 USD.

Challengers Korea

Challengers Korea will send the first Korean team to an international BSC event since 2019. The format involves offline qualifiers and finals sending one team to Istanbul. Players must register to be selected to be one of the 12 teams at the offline qualifier and must be at least Legendary in ranked with over 50,000 trophies. The offline qualifiers will involve a variety of competitions to test "teamwork, communication, and other abilities" by a panel of judges (?)
