It has been a long time since a true rookie powerhouse disrupted the balances of North America - and yet, against all odds, Team Elektros have proven they are that team. Three rookie players have already shown they can be the future of NA, but can they become the future of the globe?

BSER's June Awards for TE (Snoiy MVP, Doin/Memen EVP)

Before we ask ourselves about the “Nearest Airport” region’s prospects internationally, let’s dive into the roster itself. TE might be a British organization, but they’ve chosen to stick around in North America after a respectable LCQ run in 2025. The roster is led by team captain Snoiy, a 17 year old Canadian player who has been grinding since I joined the scene over five years ago. Alongside him are two cracked 16-year olds, the Mexican powerhouse Memen and Korean-Canadian role player, Doin. Together, this trio is one of the most dangerous we’ve seen in North America and the first all new roster to make waves around the globe. Guesti is a similarly talented prospect, but he’s surrounded by an experienced core. TE? They had never made a Monthly Final before this year - let alone having been old enough to play in one. It is rare for a roster of true BSC rookies to make an impact in their first year, let alone win two Monthly Finals.

They hit the ground running to start off 2026 with a bang, winning the first Monthly Finals in February with just one set lost across their entire run, a dominant showing likened to 2025’s Tribe Gaming. They lost in the March semifinals on the losing end of a five set reverse sweep against Tribe Gaming, partially due to an unfortunate set 5 disconnect from star player Memen during the final two rounds of the series’ double match point Knockout game, an incredible moment in BSC history. April marked another heartbreak for Team Elektros as they fell to Legacy Esports 2-3 in their quarterfinals match, a team seeded eighth at the time coming off the back of their first qualification of the year. With Tribe’s victory over F/A Bobby to advance to the grand finals, they narrowly missed out on Brawl Cup 2026, stumbling at the final hurdle in touching distance of locking their spot as the first seed. It was a wake up call for TE, and they spent the month of break grinding to ensure this would not happen again.

With their statement victory in June, TE has continued to make waves across North America and shot into 2nd place at 320 points, just 18 short of Tribe Gaming’s first place standing. 1.5x points has helped them rapidly close the gap, and it wasn’t a close monthly final - the roster lost just one set against Vatic in the semifinals, but they looked composed throughout all their matches and were clearly the better team for the month of June. Despite a great showing, the community remains divided on whether TE will measure up at LAN, if they make it there.

TE’s success may be a surprise to some, but hardcore fans of the region know they’ve always had the potential to be good. Throughout the 2025 off-season, while some teams were sad at home and others were sad with disappointing early eliminations LCQ/Worlds, TE was grinding. They competed in numerous third-party Matcherino events throughout the end of the year with a staggering 70% winrate. Their scrim win rate remains one of the highest in North America, consistently topping 60%, sometimes even eclipsing 70%. While this may be some “NA Copium,” I genuinely believe that TE could be the future.

North America may not be considered the strongest region, but it’s clear that when playing at their peak, TE is a force to be reckoned with. Their mechanics are some of the best we’ve seen in years globally, but in addition, their game sense is amazing for such a young roster. They won their first Monthly Final without a coach, showcasing their deep understanding of the draft, and their teamplay is comparable to the best teams in the world. It’s clear that this roster trusts each other completely. Despite their young age, TE are willing to put in the work and grind until they are the best team, not only in NA, but in the world, just as Guesti grinded to the top of EMEA in a striking parallel.

Interview with Snoiy

Off of their June Monthly Finals victory, we interviewed Snoiy, one of the frontrunners in the discussion for NA’s best mechanical player as of writing this article. Here’s what he had to say:

Q: Your team is one of the most highly anticipated groups of rookies and expectations were high coming into 2026. Do you think you have met your own expectations for 2026 so far, and what are your aspirations not just for this year, but your overall competitive career?

A: We are happy after qualifying and winning monthlys, but because of that result, we just want to do even better. Naturally our goal is to win worlds, but as rookies that's a pretty bold and egolike thing to say. As for our overall career, our goals are just to win and fund our future whether it's university or just to help our families.

Q: In April, you fell to Legacy Esports in the quarterfinals and were knocked out of Brawl Cup contention. Snoiy mentioned that your team came into the second split with a mindset of "no excuses" - is there anything else you would say contributed to your bounce back this month?

A: Mental. We believe mental is the #1 largest contributor to winning. If we don't believe in ourselves, who else will?

Q: What do you think about NA at an international level in terms of how competitive they can be, and what's the missing piece of the puzzle for the region?

A: NA from what we've noticed just isn't as serious as other regions. We ourselves contribute to that problem, especially at the start of the year. We'd constantly be late to scrims or sometimes completely forget to show up. Luckily we snuck away with winning, but that's no excuse for the disrespect we showed other teams, but generally we think NA is just not as serious as other regions.

Q: What do you think seperates new players like you and Guesti from the old guard? Is it mechaics, draft, or something more?

A: I think we're just raised on the newer era of gaming, alongside that I think being younger makes us more open to different types of change as we have not melded into a specific playstyle after years of esports.

Q: If you qualify to LCQ or Worlds, what are you looking forward to doing at your first LAN event?

A: Snoiy and Doin want to go to a maid cafe and rizz japanese girls and Memen wants to explore.

A: Thanks for supporting us. Hopefully we make worlds and continue to make our fans happy!
