[EMEA] SK Gaming announces the arrival of Nowy297

As reported by BSEN, SK Gaming has confirmed the signing of Polish player Damian “Nowy297” Nowakowski as their final player for their 2026 roster. After three seasons alongside his Polish teammates, the 2023 World Champion will join EMEA’s most storied organization. 

Flashes of Promise

SK Gaming is arguably EMEA’s largest team in Brawl Stars. Since 2020, they’ve consistently performed at the top of Europe, but they have failed to find their way at such heights internationally. Yoshi, who joined the roster in 2023, has been an SK staple and continues to lead the way for the German organization alongside head coach Pedro, who is now entering his seventh year under the SK banner. 

In 2024, SK announced the addition of Reply Totem’s superstar player Joker and analyst OscarDC, additions that set SK up as EMEA’s next superteam. The 2024 season was a solid year, placing third in EMEA and making it to the semifinals of Worlds, falling against their fellow Europeans in HMBLE. In 2025, OPE returned to SK, a roster change that many saw as an upgrade to an already great team, setting expectations high for the organization.

SK returned to the top of EMEA for the first time since 2021 as one of two teams to qualify to every Monthly Final, winning three in the process, and becoming EMEA’s first seed into the World Finals. Ultimately, they fell short once more, both at Brawl Cup in the Grand Finals to HMBLE and at Worlds to Crazy Raccoon a close 5 set affair with Crazy Raccoon. 

A Polish Star

With Joker’s return to TTM, Nowy has joined the roster as a proven World Champion. The Polish player will be on an English speaking roster for the first time in his career. First starting his career with Craze Clan, Nowy qualified to the 2022 World Finals under CMG EU and was quickly eliminated by ZETA DIVISION ONE in the quarterfinals. In 2023, MeOw returned to the roster, alongside Nowy and GeRo in place of Rama, joining BSC’s most accomplished organization, ZETA DIVISION. They dominated Europe throughout 2023, and despite an early loss to STMN in the group stage, they went on to claim the title of 2023 World Champions. 

Nowy stayed with the same roster in 2024 and 2025, having mixed results. 2024 was still a great year for the Polish trio, keeping up form as the second seed from Europe. They qualified to the playoffs, but they lost a close match to SK Gaming in the quarterfinals and found themselves eliminated. A similar story followed in 2025, under the banner of FUT Esports, as the trio found their way to Worlds with less regional dominance. The team once again fell in the quarterfinals to a better EU team, this time HMBLE. 

Nowy will look to be the final piece of the puzzle for SK Gaming as the organization aims to finally claim an international trophy. OscarDC has also been confirmed to return for the 2026 season as SK's analyst, as he was not formally announced with the earlier renewals.
