EMEA March Monthly Final Bracket
EMEA March Monthly Final Bracket

After another Qualifier filled with surprises, the EMEA region is ready to crown a new winner as we inch closer to seeing who will play in Berlin. What we know for sure is that it won't be the two teams who reside in Germany as they failed to qualify. Maybe it could be NAVI who made a roster change after a rough February performance. Or it could possibly be the two teams on the top duking it out in an epic rematch it what could be the next big rivalry in the region. Regardless on what happens this Sunday, we'll make sure to have your back as we'll share you our expert predictions by the end of this post.

Trouble Brewing in Germany

Just a few weeks ago, we were given the location of the Brawl Cup being held in Berlin this year. A great location that consists of two well known orgs from the area in SK & BIG. It’s a shame neither will be able to actually play in the event though. For BIG, they had a rough outing in this Qualifier with them dropping six straight sets to HMBLE & Real Madrid. Sucks we won’t be able to see them compete this month especially considering we didn’t see much of them last month because of technical issues. The one thing they can say however is that they at least aren’t in SK Gaming’s position.

SK Gaming has easily been the most disappointing team so far this year. A Top 8 finish failing to pull off a reverse sweep comeback against a team who wouldn’t even qualify this month in Metizport was a bad sign. A crushing 3-2 defeat against Reply Totem in the Winners Bracket was unfortunate, but they had a chance to take down NOVO and crush their postseason dreams. After what was considered the Qualifier Match of the month, SK would not advance through the Lower Bracket. For the first time since March 2023, we will not be seeing SK Gaming in a Monthly Final.

A brutal start to the year for both German orgs as a chance to represent their home country on the 2nd biggest LAN event of the year is now out of the question. There is still plenty of time to recover with more points up for grabs in the coming months, but it’s clear there needs to be some changes made. Especially for SK if they don’t want to miss out on Worlds for the first time in their history.

ROSTERNAVIA

Before this season started, we ended up having a roster shakeup occur moments before the Qualifier. One month was apparently all NAVI needed to chuck LeNain onto the streets and find a new young lad to take his spot. European prodigy Enraged was willing to dip from NOVO after one month to join NAVI. So far it’s kinda worked out with NAVI qualifying from Losers, but they will face a tough opponent going up against the iKaoss whom Drage was familiar with in his time with Heretics. A win against them could prove picking up Enraged was the right call despite the move leaving a bitter taste in some people’s mouths. Especially LeNain who felt backstabbed and while he wasn’t able to join up with a team, it shouldn’t take too long before he finds a new home and begins plotting his revenge against NAVI.

Leading the Way

Two teams from Europe stand on top of the rest of the region as of right now and look to remain on top after this Monthly Final. FUT Esports might be the next big rival HMBLE will have to deal with this year and it has already gotten off to a great start with them splitting the series 1-1. HMBLE sweeping in the Qualifiers and FUT winning 3-1 in the Grand Finals. On opposite sides of the bracket again and looking at how they’ve been performing in scrims lately, it seems likely we’ll get another rematch between these two as they get one step closer to claiming a Brawl Cup spot. It’s going to be really difficult to win if you face either of these teams in bracket, which is what Totem & Heretics or NAVI will have to do if they want to travel to Berlin without worrying about buying a ticket to attend.
