South America has had quite the interesting season so far. Two teams who weren’t expected to be the favorites to place near the top of the region are doing just that while LOUD is in danger of not qualifying for the Brawl Cup. Not a whole lot of craziness has happened besides maybe some minor roster changes here and there, but at least we are expected to have an intense conclusion to this Spring Split. One spot has been claimed, but another is still up for grabs. The question now is who wants that golden ticket more? Well, hopefully by the end of this post you’ll have a better idea on who might win. I say might because that’s what we said about EMEA last week and we all know what happened in that event.

Hunting for the Top Seed
After what was considered a thrilling 1st Place finish last month, the newly signed Bounty Hunters roster had a chance to secure a Brawl Cup spot earlier than expected by simply qualifying through the Winners Bracket in the Monthly Qualifiers. They did just that and have already punched their ticket to Berlin, but they need something better. Locking up the #1 Seed is a very real possibility for them as all they’d really need to do is make another Grand Finals appearance. That should definitely be feasible looking at their bracket as they’ll face off Acre Lovers in a Quarterfinals rematch as well as another rematch between the ex-Bounty Hunters roster (now going by Topa Tudo Por Dinheiro) and SKCalalas SA in the Semifinals. It’s time to go hunting!
Who Wants It More?
The final Brawl Cup spot will go to one of these other two teams. Eternal are fighting to prove that February wasn’t a fluke while LOUD will attempt to lock in the same way they qualified for the same event last year. The best part about this is that it will be decided in a potential Semifinals matchup assuming they win their respective Quarterfinals matches. Eternal had a surprising start to their year, unexpectedly winning the February Monthly Finals, but immediately losing to Olimpo in the Quarterfinals last month. LOUD on the other hand started rocky losing in their first meetup with Eternal in the Semifinals while failing to close it out in the Finals against the now Bounty Hunters roster. LOUD will definitely be seeking revenge heading into this Monthly Final and we all saw how well they did last year in a clinching scenario like this. Eternal better lock in, or else that Championship win in February might as well have been for nothing.
A Chance to Catch Up
Their chances of qualifying for the Brawl Cup are pretty much zero, but that doesn’t mean they can’t play spoiler this weekend. Or at the very least catch up and have a chance at snatching a postseason spot in the Summer Split. SKCalalas SA have had a pretty rocky start to the year especially after getting swept by LOUD in the Quarterfinals last month. They will have to face another team trying to redeem themselves in Topa Tudo Por Dinheiro (previously known as Bounty Hunters) who have added Meliodas to their team after a solid showing with Olimpo last month. Speaking of Olimpo, they will have a chance at playing spoiler against LOUD with IceCrow back in the lineup, but it definitely won’t be easy with how locked in LOUD have been looking lately. Overall a pretty interesting group of teams who could surprise us and put themselves in a better position than right now heading into the Summer Split.

Will the Bounty Hunters secure the #1 Seed? Can Eternal pull through and join them, or will LOUD lock in and snatch that spot away? It’s going down on Saturday, April 18th @ 19:00 UTC so you definitely don’t wanna miss the action!
